Solid Gastric Emptying
24 year old male, for pre-operative anti-reflux surgery.
In sequential images every 15 minutes note appropriate movement of the
radiotracer toward the duodenum and then across the intestine.
Little activity is observed in the stomach at 120 minutes. The emptying curve
was linear with one phase. Mean half-time 64 min.
Gastric retention:
At 60 minutes was 53% (NV: 38 - 85%)
At 90 minutes was 30% (NV: 6.3 to 76.3%)
At 120 minutes was 7% (NV: 0 - 62%)
