Female, 54 year old, with hip pain. A pelvic bone marrow was requested to rule out femoral head avascular necrosis. Both anterior (left) and  posterior pelvic views depict symmetric and homogeneous uptake, in area of bone marrow with normal distribution. Study was done with 99mTc Sulphur colloid. Distribution of the tracer was similar to osteoblastic activity seen in MDP bone scan (not shown).
