Processing

 

-  Interpret the images on the computer screen or in the printouts. Compare to a recent chest x-ray and ventilation views. Note PIOPED and PISAPED criteria for interpretation.

-  As part of preoperative assessment, calculate split function in percentages and combine with functional spirometry.

-  Calculation of upper and lower halves or thirds percent of lungs maybe useful for surgery planning.
