Patient Preparation

 

     Perform a standard MAG-3 renogram. If the child does not control sphincter, wait for the bladder filling on the persistence scope to start the acquisition.

     If the child controls sphincter inject the 99m-Tc MAG-3 dose and diuretic outside the gamacamera room and wait for micturition desire. Position quicklythe patient underneath the camera detector and then start the acquisition, allowing 1 min as baseline before voiding.
