Processing
- Review planar images on cine and check for patient motion
- Reconstruct using iterative protocol and attenuation correction.
- Interpret the images on the computer screen or in the printouts.
- Perform computer quantification compared to cerebellum.
- Perform surface anatomic mapping.
- In cases of acetazolamide and Wisconsin test, compare the baseline and post-stimulation study. In normal subjects both should be similar. In arteriosclerosis, acetazolamide decreases flow in abnormaly irrigated territories and less brain uptake. In those patients with frontal lobe involvement, brain spect will show areas of hypoperfusion in that location and also in functionally associated territories.
