-  Use gammacamera with paralell high resolution collimator for imaging.

-  At 2 h, 6 h and 24 h, after injection obtain anterior posterior and lateral views with 128 x 128 matrix. If a CSF leak i s suspected, imaging should start early after tracer administration.

-  Delay 48 h and 72 h and vertex images are optional.

-  Count cotton pledgets along with a simultaneous plasma sample.
