Female, 6 months old with congenital hydrocephalus, was installed a CSF shunt, from the lateral ventricle to the peritoneal cavity. She was referred for shunt functioning assessment. Whole body images obtained in the first 5 min after injecting a small bolus of 99m Tc in the pump reservoir (left, arrow). Little activity remains in the cranial segment of the shunt and most it is distributed diffusely in the peritoneum (right, arrow)
