Radiotracer labeling
These are important instructions to accomplish a good radiotracer labeling before injection. Follows typical steps for Trodat-1.
1 Remove the vial
from the refrigerator and wait for it to reach room temperature.
2 Add 1 to 2 ml of sterile, pyrogen-free and without oxidizing solution
pertechnectate, recently eluted maximum elution time of 2 h.
3 Generator interelution period not exceeding 24 hours ("fresh 99mTc").
4 Maximum recommended activity of 50 mCi (1850 MBq)
5 Do not allow air to enter into the vial.
6 Stir until completely dissolved and incubate for 30 minutes in boiling water
bath (100 ° C).
7 After heating time leave the vial to reach room temperature.
8 Label the vial with Radiotracer data, date and time.
9 Before injecting, check visual appearance.
