Carcinoid Tumor Ga-68 Dotatate PET-CT
F, 54 y/o with carcinoid metastatic tumor, diarrhea, flushings and right
ventricular involvement, Primary was in the small bowel found on surgical
procedure, 13 years ago. Patient underwent therapy with Y-90 Dotatoc and Lu-177
Dotatate, Sandostatine after radionuclide treatment. Shown are transaxial slices
in abdomen and pelvis (PET, CT and fusion). Note multiple liver metastasis some
exhibiting necrotic center after therapy in the upper 2 rows. Likewise pelvic
lesions in the lower 2 rows.
Likewise, some bronchial carcinoid seen in adolescents can be detected with this
procedure.
