ONCOLOGIC PROCEDURES

Regarding diagnostic nuclear medicine methods, five current techniques have been included. The first two are employed less frequently. As far as 67Ga, mainly due to limited resolution and isotope imaging properties, more adequate for planar than spect registration. In the case of octreoscan, due to cost and new emerging modalities, based on PET images like 18F-FDG and 68Ga-Dotatate, which have greater sensitivity and specificity. It is included also, a new imaging modality with PET Choline and PSMA (Prostatic Specific Membrane Antigen).

- 67Ga-Citrate Tumor Detection

111In-Octreoscan Scintigraphy

18F-FDG Tumor Imaging

68Ga-Dotatate Tumor Imaging

18F-Choline Tumor Imaging

- 68Ga-PSMA Tumor Imaging
