Male 92 year old patient with right total hip prosthesis installed 11 years ago. Currently, nonspecific pain in joints and bones, especially of the left hip. A bone scan was requested to assess the hip prothesis and other body joints.

In the right pelvis the hip prosthesis with normal periprosthetic activity is visualized.

On the left side there is a diffuse uptake in the hip joint in moderate degree. Additionally, increased contrast is defined in the trapezoid-metacarpal joint in both sides, some proximal interphalangeal and distal interphalangeal of both hands,  irregular concentration at L5-S1, knees, left tarsus and joints of the right hallux.

Osteoarthritis is the most likely diagnosis.
