               General CONSIDERATIONS

-  The use of radiotracers is not recommended in pregnancy or during nursering, unless a vital benefit is to be obtained.

-  Check always patient's Name, ID, procedure and dose to give, before starting any diagnostic or therapeutic action.

-  In fertile age females, Nuclear Medicine procedures should be done in first 10 days after menses. If necesssary request a test to rule out pregnancy (e.g. serum beta-GCH).

-  Obtain an informed consent in all procedures.

-  Radiation Protection indications should always be carried out for patients and personnel.

-  Administered doses must be kept at safe levels and enough in quantity to achieve a precise diagnosis or  therapy goal.

-  After completing diagnostic or treatment procedures, send information including methodology and results expected or obtained. Follows, a suggested format for Diagnostic or Therapy Report.
